Edgerton Snow Plan
The City of Edgerton has developed a snow plan to inform citizens of the priority for snow removal on City streets. Streets that have been designated as "high priority" are main thoroughfares within the City and provide transportation throughout the City. Areas designated as "medium priority" are typically neighborhood streets. Finally, streets designated as "low priority" are cul-de-sacs or areas where snow removal is difficult and requires substantial time.
Citizens are reminded that City code requires vehicles parked on City streets to be moved within two hours of a cumulative snow of two inches or more. Cooperation to this effect will allow City crews to clear City streets faster and more thoroughly after a snow fall.
All City streets will be cleared as quickly as possible to allow for the best connectivity for residents. US-56 highway is the responsibility of the Kansas Department of Transportation. Sunflower Road and a section of 207th Street east of Coop Road are the responsibility of Johnson County.
