Currently, residents in Edgerton must make their own arrangements for solid waste removal by selecting one of four vendors that provide that service within the City. The City Council has decided to gather public comments regarding a proposal to make solid waste services required of citizens. Under the proposal, the City would contract with one service provider for solid waste services. Residents would then pay the City for these services as part of their monthly water and sewer bill. Businesses will still be required to make their own arrangements for trash service.
Public comments were accepted by the City Council on this issue and the Council has decided to go out for bids on these services. Interested parties may download the bid documents below. The deadline to submit bids is 2:00 pm Friday, May 9, 2008. Instructions to submit bids are included in the bid package.
