The City of Edgerton partners with several agencies to provide public safety services. The City contracts with the Johnson County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services. Johnson County Fire District No. 1 provides fire protection services to the City. Johnson County Emergency Management provides services that are critical during severe storms and other emergency situations. Animal control is currently provided by the City of Edgerton with limited services. The City is looking at ways to improve animal control services and to increase service delivery in this area.
